Join REPAC

As members of REPAC, together we can make a difference in areas that negatively impact returning citizens the most, including transportation, fair hiring, housing, healthcare, treatment programs, legal documentation, voting, parenting, relationships, family integration, and all facets of reentry society.  Organizations from across the State of California now have a statewide Association curated to support your work to foster successful reentry for the men and women returning to the community.

With our united and strong voices, we can advance fair and responsible laws and further equitable policies, budgets, practices enabling reentry provides to build capacity and sustain their mission.

Together, we will:

      • Identify and address gaps and barriers to successful re-entry in the State through an examination of state laws, regulations, budgets, and administrative policies.
      • The Association will proactively engage in direct lobbying of the California legislature, Governor’s office, relevant state agencies, and campaigns to further the policy agenda.
      • Strengthen the State network of resources and service providers.
      • Serve as a common voice in California on behalf of re-entry providers for the public, media, and policymakers about the importance of supporting reentry efforts.
      • Hold events and conduct research to further support these objectives such as collaboration, best practices, education of the public and policymakers, and strengthening legislative and policy agendas.
      • Potential contributors will be identified and solicited to provide funding.

REPAC Member Benefits

Policy & Advocacy Training

REPAC will hold a series of trainings that will provide education and hands on practice to reentry practitioners and advocates on how federal, state, county and city policy is made and how to impact it. This will help members to work together more effectively to advocate for policy changes and philanthropic efforts to implement that unified vision and strategy and explore collaborative efforts to impact the community. Workshops will unveil and unpack the inner workings of how legislative and fiscal processes work, and how and when you can engage in advocacy and lobbying legally. Courses will range from intro “101” type courses to those for members who are more advanced in policy and advocacy. Trainings will be held quarterly.
